After removing the original Aprilia handguards, I install the Barkbusters setup and see how straightforward the fitting actually is, including the mounting hardware, clearance and final positioning. Handguards are one of those upgrades that should hopefully protect the levers and controls when the Tuareg gets properly off-road — although, as usual, I’m hoping I don’t have to test them too thoroughly! This is part of my ongoing Aprilia Tuareg 660 build, where I’m upgrading the bike for longer trips, green lanes and European TET riding. In this video:
- Removing the original handguards
- Fitting the Barkbusters mounting kit
- Installing the new handguards
- Checking lever and control clearance
- Final positioning and adjustment
If you’re considering Barkbusters for your Tuareg 660, hopefully this gives you a useful look at what’s involved.
